CrossFit Kids 

Comal CrossFit Kids uses a combination of skill practice, workouts and games to build strength and conditioning in children. Our classes include elements of gymnastics, weight lifting, body weight movements, running, jump roping, and more. Our goal is to make fitness FUN! Specifically, CCF Kids teaches the 10 General Physical Skills. These skills are the base for any sport or discipline your child may pursue. In addition to learning new skills, you will notice your child makes better food choices, is more focused in school, transitions to new sports easier, and has a reduced risk of sport-related injury.

  • Cardiovascular Endurance – Can you get enough oxygen to your body?
  • Stamina – Can you get enough energy to your muscles?
  • Strength – How much can you lift?
  • Flexibility – Can you touch your toes?
  • Power – How much work can you do in the least time?
  • Speed – How fast can you go?
  • Coordination – Can you pat your head and rub your stomach?
  • Accuracy – Can you kick a soccer ball into the net?
  • Agility – How quickly can you change direction?
  • Balance – Can you stand on one foot? With your eyes shut?



Youth Camp; Elite Sports Performance

CCF's summertime Youth Sports Performance Program for boys & girls who are rising-6th thru 9th graders.  This one-hour technique & strength-based program is specifically designed to increase explosiveness, speed, coordination, acceleration, agility and cardiovascular endurance to prepare the student-athletes for their upcoming sports seasons.  This course is programmed as a progression with each class building on the last, and an emphasis on teaching proper running technique (running form).

Elite Sports Performance is for high school & collegiate athletes (participants must "test-in" to the class).

Coach Hunter Russell has a B.S. in Human Performance & Nutrition from Stephen F. Austin State University and he's USAW Level 1 Sports Performance Certified.  He has 12 years experience as a competitive athlete including time at the professional level with the Adidas running team.  Coach Hunter has a passion for working with kids.  Previously, he's worked as a Sports Performance Coach at Velocity Sports Performance in Southlake, TX which is well-known for training many NFL & MLB athletes, and served as Director of Outdoor Fitness at Unicus Athletics, Argyle, TX.


Youth Sport Performance is offered Mon-Thu during the summer from 7:30 - 8:30p.  There are 2 sessions beginning Monday, June 12th thru Thu., June 29th and Mon., July 10 thru Thu., July 27th.  *Mandatory Test Day:  June 5th 7:30-8:30pm.  

Elite Sports Performance is offered daily Mon-Thur from 8:30-9:30pm beginning June 5th thru July 27th.

Classes are $135 per 3-week session and is free for anyone with an Unlimited Family Membership.
